Found exclusively in the salt marshes and swamps of the northern islands of New Zealand. Kauri trees are among the most massive trees in the world, rivalling giant redwoods. They are reportedly thousands of years old and harvested responsibly. This Kauri top comes pre-finished with leaf inlay and epoxy resin. This species works easily with both hand and machine tools. Fine straight grain and an even, silky texture. Ranges in color from a light biscuit color, to yellow and reddish brown.
