Chrome Oak wood veneer is an even gray. To achieve this Chrome look, the wood undergoes an ionization process, which has more control than fuming—however, the individual amount of chemicals in each tree affects its overall shade, so its not as accurate as dyeing to the same color each time.
Common Uses for Chrome Oak Wood Veneer: Architectural panels, architectural millwork, cabinetry and doors, as well as furniture.
The Tree: These old growth trees average 20-30 growth rings per inch. Selectively cut at peak maturity and in accordance with proper forest management.
