ASH OLIVE WOOD

Olive Ash flat cut wood veneer is nearly white with shades of brown, showing high contrast. This cut has cathedral, straight grain and even texture.
Common Uses: Architectural panels, cabinetry, ceilings, doors, as well as furniture and marquetry.
Common Names: Common Ash, European Ash.
The Tree: Depending on soil and climate, can grow 80-100 feet with diameters between 2-5 feet.
A Little History: During WWI, Olive Ash was used to construct aircraft. This wood was ideal for the structure of aircraft because of its flexibility and strength.
