SASSAFRAS
Sassafras flat cut wood veneer heartwood is a medium to light brown, sometimes with an orange or olive hue. Sapwood is a paler yellowish brown. Straight grained with medium texture.
Common Uses for Sassafras Flat Cut Wood Veneer: Architectural millwork, cabinetry, furniture and interior woodwork, as well as boatbuilding.
Other Name(s): Red Sassafras.
The Tree: Sassafras reaches a height of 80 to 90 feet with trunk diameters between 2 to 5 feet.
