Oak Red
January 24, 2019
Arguably the most popular hardwood in the United States, Red Oak is hard and strong. This wood presents an exceptional value to woodworkers—which explains why it is so widely used in cabinet and furniture making. The heartwood is a light to medium brown, commonly with a red cast, with nearly white to light brown sapwood. Red Oak has a telltale smell that is common to most oaks, something most people find appealing.
This Red Oak live edge slab measures 13.35′ long x 40.55″ wide x 2.52″ deep. You can also view various cuts of our Oak veneer here.
