Douglas Fir
December 3, 2019

Douglas Fir grows in western North America. The heartwood ranges in color from yellow to reddish tan, often with an orange hue. The grain is normally straight, although it occasionally displays curly or wavy characteristics. Douglas Fir works well with machine tools but can be rather difficult to work with hand tools. Stains, glues and finishes well. This live edge slab measures 8.63′ long x 43.31″ wide x 3.15″ deep.
