Keyaki (Japanese Elm), a native tree in China, Japan and Korea, is a member of the Japanese elm family. It is a large shade tree, commonly used in parks. The sapwood is yellow white while the heartwood is yellow brown, almost a light gold.

Keyaki wood is an amazing tabletop option. Historically used as a building material, it is strong and durable. In addition to it’s durability, it is also elastic in nature and resistant to breaking. This slab measures 14.67′ long x 24.02″ wide x 3.15″ deep. You can view our Keyaki veneer here.

A native fast growth tree to Hawaii, with colors ranging from light to dark brown with distinct golden streaks. In the Hawaiian language, koa means brave, bold, fearless, or warrior. Bold accurately describes this available slab. Incredibly rare, this large half-round slab most likely originated in high elevation of the Hawaiian island it came from. As a result, its grain showcases beautiful auburn tones, curl and pommele.
