Sap Gum flat cut wood veneer heartwood is a pinkish brown with darker tan streaks. Sap Gum veneer also has a creamy white sapwood and an irregular feathered grain.
Common Uses for Flat Cut Sap Gum Wood Veneer: Architectural panels, cabinetry, doors, furniture and millwork, as well as store fixtures.
The Tree: Typically reaches heights between 80-100 feet, with trunk diameters usually between 2-3 feet.
A Little History: The largest quantity of Sap Gum comes from the lower Mississippi Valley.
