OAK VENICE RIVER WOOD
quercus petraea
Unique Venice River Oak flat cut into thick wood veneer. Aptly named, the wood came from submerged boat-dock pillars in the rivers and canals of Venice, Italy.
Characteristics: Light brown to tan in color, as well as grey tones; shake. Rustic and charming with heavily scattered worm holes near the edges.
Other Names: European Oak.
The Tree: European Oak reaches a height of 60-100 feet with trunk diameters between 4-6 feet, although it can be considerably larger. Strong, durable and beautiful.
