Jarrah comes from Australia. Heartwood color ranges from a light red or brown to a darker brick red; tends to darken with exposure to light. Thin sapwood is a pale yellow to pink. These trees are durable and known for their density, and rich reds and browns. Traditionally, this species is used in general construction, fencing, flooring, and railroad ties. When working, use sharp machine tools for best results. Pre-boring is advisable before nailing, but nail and screw holding properties are good. This live edge slab measures 11.15′ long x 43.31″ wide x 3.39″ deep. You can view our Jarrah veneer here.
