Highly prized in Africa for carvings, boat building, as well as windows and doors, flooring and furniture. African Padauk is often referred to as Bloodwood due to red sap emerging from the tree after being cut. Its heartwood color can vary, ranging from a pale pink orange to a deep brown red. Considered very durable and resistant to bug attack, this wood has been used outdoors for centuries.
This is our widest slab of this species available. It measures 10.1′ long x 50″ wide x 2.56″ deep. View various cuts of our African Padauk veneer here.
