This Albizia live edge slab measures 10.76′ long x 27.56″ wide x 2.28″ deep. We currently have a very select inventory of this species; contact your M. Bohlke Corp. representative to reserve this slab or reach out to our team today to get started.
Albizia live edge slabs come from a rapid-growing tree that is native to tropical Africa. Live edge Albizia heartwood can vary greatly in color, from browns to reds and sometimes golden yellows, sometimes with a greenish tinge. The sapwood is somewhat wide, clearly demarcated, and white or yellow-white.
These trees usually reach heights of 30-100 feet and when growing in the forest can produce a clean bole up to 50 feet tall. Trunk diameters can be nearly 40 inches. Because of this, Albizia slabs can be fairly long and wide which can create beautiful conference and dining tables, as well as other luxury furniture.
Albizia wood is very durable and hard. It is traditionally used for tool handles, planks, doors and beams, as well as general building purposes. Considered moderately easy to work with both hand and machine tools. Albizia usually has straight grain, although sometimes interlocked. Because of sometimes having interlocked grain, we recommend being mindful when surfacing because tear out can occur. As always, we also recommend using proper eye protection and wearing masks when working with Albizia slabs and lumber. Turns, glues and finishes well; usually has low luster and the texture is coarse to fine.

Asoma live edge slabs take various finishes just as well as any other tropical species; its soft and warm grain brings nature inside in all types of design environments.
