OAK FUMED WOOD

Fumed Oak quarter cut wood veneer is very dark brown to black in color. Ammonia fuming is a wood finishing process that darkens wood while also bringing out the grain pattern.
Common Uses: Aircraft, architectural panels and millwork, cabinetry, doors, flooring and furniture, as well as both boat and yacht design.

The Tree: These old growth trees average 20-30 growth rings per inch.
A Little History: Spessart Oak only grows in the Spessart Forest of Germany and is considered the gold standard of all oaks. This forest has mineral free soil, annual rainfall and proper drainage.
