Palaquium maingayi
Nyatoh quarter cut wood veneer heartwood varies from pale pink to reddish-brown, sometimes with darker streaks. Straight grain, moderately fine textured. Also has beautiful block mottle figure.
Common Uses for Quarter Cut Nyatoh Wood Veneer: Architectural panels, cabinetry, furniture and millwork, as well as private aircraft and yacht interiors.
The Tree: Grows to heights of 100-120 feet or more with trunk diameters around 3 feet.
A Little History: Nyatoh veneer is similar to the distinctive coloring of Teak, although Teak is more golden.
