Green Ebony quarter cut wood veneer heartwood ranges from yellow to rich browns and black, with an olive hue. It has a very fine texture that is uniform and lustrous.
Common Uses for Green Ebony Quarter Cut Wood Veneer: Acoustic panels, architectural panels, millwork and high-end cabinetry, as well as doors, furniture and store fixtures. Also a good choice for musical instruments.
Other Names: Cocuswood, sometimes Brown Ebony.
The Tree: Found in Jamaica and Cuba. Generally a small tree, reaching no more than 30 feet in height.
A Little History: Green Ebony was formerly used for making musical instruments, such as flutes, clarinets and oboes.
