ASH WHITE BURL WOOD

White Ash burl wood veneer color ranges from a creamy, or even pale, tan to a dark brown. Has a coarse, even texture. White Ash burl is very decorative.
Common Uses: Architectural panels, cabinetry, ceilings, dashboard pieces, doors, as well as furniture and marquetry.
Common Names: Olive Ash, Common Ash, European Ash.
The Tree: Depending on soil and climate, can grow 80-100 feet with diameters between 2-5 feet.
A Little History: During WWI, White Ash was used to construct aircraft. This wood was ideal for the structure of aircraft because of its flexibility and strength.
