Capable of attaining heights of nearly 400 feet, Redwood is the world’s tallest tree species. It grows in a limited area on the Pacific coast of the northwestern United States, where heavy rainfall and cool, damp air create a unique environment for these trees. Redwood live edge heartwood color can range from a light pink brown to a deep red brown. Sapwood is a pale white/yellow. These trees can live up to 2,000 years and have branches up to 5 feet in diameter.
