Koa
May 31, 2019
A native fast growth tree to Hawaii, with colors ranging from light to dark brown with distinct golden streaks. In the past, Hawaiian natives made dugout canoes from these large trees. Today, it is used to make ukuleles because of its fine resonant qualities and attractive appearance. Also commonly used for fine cabinetry, high end furniture and specialty items. This species works easily and comparably to Teak.
This Koa tabletop slab measures 12.30′ long x 27.56″ wide x 2.05″ deep. Learn more about this species and view various cuts of our Koa veneer here.
