ANDIROBA WOOD
Andiroba quarter cut wood veneer is reddish brown, to light salmon. The grain has straight interlocked pattern, as well as some ripple.

A Little History: Still used in traditional medicine in Brazil and other countries surrounding the Amazon. The oil from the seeds allegedly treats multiple conditions, including infections. This oil is also used as an insect repellent, probably because of the bitter taste. Andiroba is part of the mahogany family.
