Afrormosia Realtec quarter cut wood veneer is golden in color with consistent fiddleback figure and ribbon. Sometimes spelled as Afromosia, without the second ‘r.’
Common Uses for Afrormosia Quarter Cut Wood Veneer: Architectural panels, cabinetry, flooring, furniture, interior woodwork. Because of its consistency, Realtec is ideal for large jobs, as well as continuous production.
Other Names: African Teak, Texas Ironwood, Afromosia.
The Tree: Regularly reaches a height of 160 feet, with diameters between 4-5 feet. Large trees may not have branches for 100 feet.
A Little History: Afrormosia is often a substitute for Teak in many industries, however it is not closely related.
